Looking at putting together a rifle on a Curtis Axiom. It'll be in 6.5CM. I know the ARC mags are not popular because of reliability issues but I have 2 with AREA 419 bases that run flawlessly in my RPR. I like the low profile/high capacity I get with these. I'm looking for input from anyone running an Axiom with the ARC mags in an MPA or maybe an XLR chassis? I'll be using this rifle in PRS style matches. Thanks!

The axiom was designed for a AICS with a binder plate . The ARC mag follower will hit the bottom feed ramp . I've put a mag extender on a 5rnd AICS with 2 rounds in my SAP 2rnd holder to get around long mags interfering with barricades.
Just delt with this!!! The rounds kept getting caught under feed ramp. Sold them tonight. They let me done to many times! I’m looking at the mdt aics mags with binder plates. I’m open for other suggestions. I tried my buddies legacy ai-aics mags. They fed fine, but felt the bolt dragging on mag feed lips. I’d like to find a reliable double stack single feed to save on length. However not wanting to deal with failure again. Thoughts???

if the action is made for aics AW mags try them. (kinda looks like it is) dont belive you can run an extension as bottom is welded on but they are smaller profile say 10 rd but i get 11 easy (6cm) in my aw mags. mpa has a 2 rd holder on the side just throw the last one in for a 12 rd stage. Also had good luck with Accurate mags. they are similar to a standard aics. there is a sticky explaning the differences way better than i can.

I bought to ARC mags and they wouldn’t work with my Axiom or my 700. Sold them the next day. You could notch the feed ramp with a file and it should work.
