WTB Curtis / Zues or other short throw .223 action

Wanting To Buy
Curtis seems to have a lot of detractors, but my Axiom runs slick as shit and is my favorite action. There are lots of good choices.

I'm so used to a 60deg throw when I shoot a 90deg it feels like I'm throwing a battleship working the bolt. 30deg doesn't seem like much, but it feels like a lot.

If you end up picking up a Zeus with .308 bolt, I have a new .223 bolt I’d sell. Just throwing it out there incase you ever planned on shooting other calibers then you’d have both bolts.

I have an ARC CDG 223 action that I’d let go for $950 shipped. Brand new, never even had a barrel screwed in. 20 MOA rail, pivoting bolt handle.

I haven’t been shooting bolt actions a ton but there’s so much better clearance with my thermal having a 60 on my solus action

Sounds good, I was planning to build an either a 223 or a 20 Practical on this action but I’m building a living quarters in my shop that’s taking up all my extra funds. I chambered a 20” proof in 6.5 Creedmoor for my brothers CDG that absolutely hammers. Numerous 10 round group under a half minute. His has been great.
