I can now fully admit how much of a problem I have with this gun habit. I currently own an Armalite AR50A1 but I'm somehow compelled to torture myself with another custom build. I want to do a repeater and have a few stock/chassis options. Is the McMillan TAC50 action the only game in town? It seems like it has everything I want, I'm just checking to see if I missed any.

On a side note, I'm curious if any builders can inlet, say a McMillan Big Mac stock for my Armalite. It has a goofy recoil lug setup so I'm probably screwed with that.

Far from the only game in town. Though if I may, Mr. Kirby Allen of Allen Precision Shooting actually pretty much exclusively uses the AR50 action to build his custom .50s off of. For the price, per Mr Allen, the AR50s are just as good as some of the more expensive ones.

    Heres some others though:

    Barnard GP
    Barnards Model GP Action

    BAT Machine Model EX 12" long x 2" diameter and EX 12" x 2.5"
Welcome to BAT Machine Product Page

    RPA .50:
Rangemaster .50 Rifle | Rangemaster Precision Arms

And then theres the Windrunner. But with these and the Mcmillan, Id wager theyre the nicest. For a repeater, the Mcmillan and RPA are probably gonna be best bet. And then theres the Accuracy International but thats not really a custom, but the quality is up there with a custom.

I couldn't agree more. The Drake Associates MK15 Stalker (Gen 2) seems like a too-good-to-be true weapon system and it's #1 after tons of research I've done on available .50BMG's. I'd love to buy a Cheytac .408 for it's awesome package but it's just too damn expensive for us non-millionaires!!! There's a great review on YouTube and I look forward to more reviews from other objective platforms. Thanks Drake Associates!!!

I think the last time I called McMillan they didn't have an inlet for the AR50. Doesn't mean they can't do it. I think you just have to send them a receiver so they can write an inlet program for it. Manners also makes a 50 stock that should accommodate the action. Give them both a call and see what they can do.

Thanks Drake Associates, now let's drop that price just a bit more or offer a former LEO discount to tip the scales for anyone on the fence! Thanks!

I got hooked on BMG in Florida a couple weeks ago and came home and bought a AR-50A1. Loved it, but I had a chance to pick up a Desert Tech HTI at a steal of a price so I sold it. I like the fact that the HTI is dead accurate out of the box and it's a switch barrel. I am already considering a used .375CT barrel for it that a friend is selling.
