wondering if anyone has a source for custom patches. were getting platoon hats made and wanting to buy the cheap condor tactical hats with velcro that are like 7 bucks and then get patches made for them. then the guys can put their names on the back and get their call signs embroidered on the sides. no one wears the beret or the soft cap anymore.

Tactical Tailor can make patches and name tapes and their hats are very good quality.
I think it was about $15 but well worth it, velcro front panel and the button on top is replaced with velcro to avoid those GD bumps. I wear a hat all the time and can deffinatly tell when a hat isn't made well, the fit just isn't right and sits too high, as if ready to blow off.
I would email or call Tactical Tailor...pretty much great all around gear.
I had my local embroidery/screenprinting shop make me some embroidered patches.....came out to less than $6 a piece.

So you have an enormous head too?

thanks for all the replies, the only reason we went with condor is so some of the joes with their financial retardation could get one. we all gotta be the same. so 6 bucks for a hat around 6 bucks for a patch and then a name tape for the back were up to about 20 a piece, if we start with a 15-20 dollar hat itll be even more. were allowed to wear platoon/company/battalion/brigade hats instead of beret's or pc's as long as not everyone has a different one.
we were also thinking about just getting flags for the front and the platoon name on the left side and then they can put their callsign on the other side.

If each one is different and each hat has to be the same style you would be better off on a Group Buy and have the company set up to embroider all the rank, unit...whatever that has to be the same and then you would only have to pay the "call sign" embroidery as an individual thing....save on patches and excess shit....since they will probably wear the hat out before they change rank, unit.
If I was going to do a GB on hats for a group of friends....that's how I would do it.....be worth a call to Tactical Tailor....they make hats and embroider in the same building....couldn't be blamed for stupidity to ask them.

Camotech http://www.camotech.com/customil.htm has done some good work for my units in the past.
Not exactly cheap, but they can do just about anything you want.
