Custom Tikka 243, With A 20" Barrel???

Hi,
After literally years of wanting a Tikka Rifle, I finally found what I was looking for!

It's a stainless action with a 20" BRUX SS 1:8 barrel 243 MATCH chamber, in the Rem.Var.Contour!

Stock is an XLR Element!

I live in the East so not really looking to shoot 1,000 yds, but...

I was wondering about the 20" barrel?

I think it is good for me as it will be a little lighter.

My club only has a 200 yd range but I will be looking for at least a 600 to try out anyway.

Just wondering what you more experienced guys/gals, think of this round in a 20" barrel???

For your application, no issues whatsoever. 600 yds for a .243 is nothing, regardless of barrel length.

Hi, Thanks, in the East in an urban setting, 200 yds is a long shot really! Looking to have some fun with this rifle and with the 1:8 twist.... Want to try the heavier bullets!

You'll be fine, the modest reduction in velocity won't be an issue at 600.
