CZ 452 stock options/opinions?

I'm not sure if this is the correct spot to post but here goes! So I may be in the market for a new stock for the CZ, I built one, but not exactly sure how its gonna work out yet. If it doesn't then I think I may buy one. I have narrowed it down to the Manners T4 or the M40-A22 from McMillan. My question is which stock is better suited for me? I mostly shoot this gun from the prone. But I may do a little hunting with the gun as well. That is the main reason I did not like the factory stock, it just felt wrong in the prone position. Is the M40 stock ok for shooting prone? It is my 1st choice of the two, mostly because everyone and their brother has a T4, no disrespect I just want my build to be a bit different. Also I have shot a CZ in this stock and it was nice, but not super crazy about it, although I could learn to like it! So what do you guys think???

I like the T4 as well, I was just considering something a little different. Seems like everyone has a CZ in the manners. Don't get me wrong I like them, I was just looking into something different.

Klinsky stock for the 452,drop in for Varmint,Lux,Ultra Lux and Trainer,,mine is the Ultra Lux set up with match sights and works very well in 4P competition,

stock is adjustable and fits like a glove,,I can get zero from 25-300+ with the sights,

I also have my 452 Varmint in a Klinsky and really enjoy it. The stock works well from just about any position. It is not 100% plug and play for the Varmint models though. You will have to finish ~5% of the inletting to get a proper fit and your 5 round magazine to work. Excellent stock though for the $$ at ~1/2 the cost of a Manners.

Beny get the m40! I agree with you, I bet the manners T4 is great but I am looking for something a little different as well. I plan on purchasing a 455 for my son this summer and it will be going in the McMillan. If you go with the M40 please keep me updated on what the wait time is like and your overall thoughts on it.

I wasn't ready to show this off as it is still in progress but here is my Whidden Composite Works model 140. I love this stock because it is the most versatile stock I have found. It has a vertical grip but is excellent off offhand use as well. The biggest thing is that it can be inletted for rimfire AND centerfire actions. The palm swell isn't too much and the forearm contour is pronounced yet subtle. I had more fill added to the rimfire so that makes a great trainer platform coming in at 12.4 lbs as shown. Aditionally, I got both stocks built to order, inletted, bedded and shipped in less than 3 months!!

They needed my BA since it was the very first one ever done.

I didn't add that it was a $150 up charge for the nonstandard inlet but with a $400 base price for the stock I didn't sweat it.

Now that is a seriously great looking stock! That is a 455 correct? So I would have to send them my 452 to get it inletted? That is around the same price as the others and cheaper if it does not need to be specially inletted! Looks great!

Also what are the specs on that build???

BenY-correct 455. They can do any of the the 450's so that is why I chose to show it even though you asked about the 452.

Remington and clones are their only standard inlet so yes, you'd have to send them your BA, bottom metal, etc.
Full expense for stock, inletting, bedding, 3 flush cup & 2 studs= $715. Painting the stock is also included with any of their 7 standard colors.
I'm getting mine film dipped so I had them return it ready for base coat.

The UTG mount I chose for several reasons. The .68" height worked perfect for the
scope and rings which I already had and I like the full length clamping bar apposed to
the set screw style others use. In my opinion it has superior clamping ability. It has
approx. 30 MOA cant built into it as well so getting extended range is very doable at
least as far as a 22lr is concerned.

For now I'm using the factory barrel. This one is exceptionally accurate so I'll spend
my money on ammo....when I can find it. I used the stock trigger guard because a
DIP TG available at the time. After getting it all back from Whidden and checking
over the bedding work and stability of the BA in their stock that's $120 I didn't need
to spend after all.

Your gun looks amazing! I want to see it when it is all done! Does Whidden give the option to NOT bed the rifle? I'd prefer to do it myself, and especially if I can save $120!
