How much difference are there in the stock inlets?
I was considering a 455 rifle to put in 452 stock (22LR or 22 Mag)

To my knowledge, it will depend on which 452 you are using.
The 452 American and any 455 should be similar. How similar I have no idea, another of the more experienced rimfire guys will have to answer that.
But the 452 Varmint (in .22LR, apparently not the .17 or .22 Mag) doesnt have the rear action screw that the others do. Instead, it has a barrel lug and 1 action screw.

They must be somewhat different as I was looking at getting a Boyds stock for my daughters christmas present. When I called them I was informed that they could supply a 452 stock but the 455 stocks were 5-6 months out as they did not have the master design done yet.
