Are the 452s even still available new? And What are the differences? I remember thinking a while ago that the 452s were preferred, but don't remember why. Any opinions on the two would be helpful. Thanks

Re: CZ 452 VS 455

452s are still available new some places like buds. the biggest difference between the two is that the 455 has the option to swap barrels. the 452 has been preferred thus far due to a few people having QC issues with the 455s and the 455s have yet to prove themselves to be the shooters that 98% of 452s are. lilja is starting to make drop in barrels for the 455 though so I expect the 455 to pick up quite a following as soon as they are released. I have a 452 and love it however I would kill for a lilja barrel I think the 455 is the route to take now as long as you don't mind modding your rifle.

Re: CZ 452 VS 455

I bought a 455 in 22lr several months ago and it shoots every bit as good as the 452 I had. The ability to change calibers so easily is a bonus.

Re: CZ 452 VS 455

From what I've read the 455s seem to be doing pretty well. Some people are die hard 452 fans, and won't even consider the 455s. I just picked up a 455 American w/threaded barrel. I'm looking forward to getting it set up and shooting within the next couple weeks.

Re: CZ 452 VS 455

W/ Remy subs I'm getting about 1-1.5" groups (.22)

W/ Honaday .17HMR I'm getting about .5-.75 groups

at 50yrds both the .22 and .17 stack'em in nice and tight! I've done nothing to the rifle, and read if you add pillars it really makes a big difference.
