I purchased a used CZ 455 with the Timney trigger and could not find any instructions on adjusting the trigger. Lots of instructions on how to install and modify the stock ect.

Here are the instructions from Timney and HOW to adjust the pull weight and sear engagement properly.

Also Timney told me that they were going to send me a free sear since I had an issue with the bolt coming out of the receiver when running the bolt. They have made a change in the sear. If you are having a problem this might possibly solve your issue.

I JUST got off the phone with them so I have no idea how it is different or if it might solve this issue.

All the Timney triggers I purchased were already set and I never had to make any adjustments. If you have one that you need to set and it is not working properly make sure the trigger weight adjustment is heavy enough to repeatably push the sear far enough to make the engagement adjust meant. Sure you would find this out on your own, but this will save you a few mins of wondering why you can't repeat your results.

The locking nut on the trigger weight adjustment is 1/4".

Hope this helps anyone with the same issues as I had.

I shot last weekend and had troubles with the bolt releasing from the receiver many times. I received the new sear from Timney and installed today. Seemed more solid when I ran the bolt. Never released. Will shoot this week.

Sounds like Timney has a free easy fix for this issue!

Thanks. They just sent the sear in a little bag. I'll contact them and see if the have instructions. I didn't want to just start taking the trigger apart. It may be like the original trigger in the 455 with a little ball to contend with.
