I’ve got a CZ 457 and a dead air mask currently in jail. Was looking over the pictures I had taken of the two together and noticed a problem. The suppressor threads on the barrel perfectly but stops just shy of the edge of the rest of the barrel. I’m not entirely sure it is a problem but if so, what should I do about it? This is my first suppressor and I just don’t want to screw anything up. But realize I may be being paranoid about this also. I have attached some pictures of what I’m talking about. Is the gap alright?

Was shooting my Mask today. There is no forward surface for it to align with the front of the barrel so it needs to align with the shoulder. But, that also shows it has to be mating with the shoulder, unless the threaded portion is so long it hits the first baffle.

You may just be seeing the gap next to the raised shoulder.

Thanks! I’ll make sure to get one before the supressor comes in. Should I get the one made by dead air?

It looks like you have a solid mount up. If you want proof, put a piece of paper in the gap and twist on, I'm sure you will feel the paper pinched as it tightens. Remove paper and shoot with confidence.
