The 457 receiver is almost an inch shorter that the 455.. So, no, you will not be able to swap stocks between the two receivers.

Do you have a print copy of the USA catalog? I wasn’t aware the USA digital copy was available yet. I’ve been checking out the Europe version from the CZub website and the translation is pretty rough.
I do know that Royals won’t be imported until very late this year, maybe even early 2020.
The AtOne with Boyd’s stock is available in the US though.
Yep.. just curious if SanginSpecial is getting his discrepancies from the CZub catalog, not the USA version. Lipsey's inventory is also accurate for what will be available.
It's a shame they're not bringing any Royals in this year. They're gorgeous little rifles. I just hate that they had to stamp 'CZ 457 ROYAL' on the stock. Kind of ruins it for me. If I wanted a book's worth of text all over my squirrel gun I'd buy another Ruger...

Yes, I do have a copy. It is a US copy not a UB copy as someone else was wondering. Is there anything in it you'd like me to post a picture of?
Interesting to hear about the Royals. Are they coming to the US market? I assume they are based on your comment and that I've seen them for sale in Canada but, as of now, they aren't anywhere to be seen in the current US catalog.

that’s awesome. Mostly I’m curious what the CZ 02313 looks like. It’s the synthetic suppressor ready 457 varmint. Is it more of an American style stock?

There is no 02313 SKU in the CZ-USA website, which has been updated with all the 2019 457s.

That’s not entirely true. CZ posts only a handful of rifles on the website. They also send out distributor lists with everything that’s available. Google CZ02313 and you’ll see most of the big distributors have it listed, just no pictures yet. The distributor manifest I’ve seen has 22 different calibers/versions of the new 457 for the US market

I picked one of these up today. It is the 22LR MTR version. Hoping to get a scope on it and get it to the range in the next couple days.
I will say it looks and feels like a very well made rifle... I wasn't too happy that the barrel isn't threaded, as I like to shoot suppressed. Worst case I can thread the barrel later on, or swap it. I can post some pics and range results later if anyone is interested in it.

Absolutely.. Please do! I've only seen targets from 2 different MTR's so far. Both have been .25", or better, 5 shot groups so far. These MTR's are showing some promise of being great shooting rifles. Post a pic of the test target that came with the rifle too if you get a minute. The test targets used to be "functional" test results, but they seem to actually correlate to potential accuracy now. It will be interesting to keep tabs on it.

We should expect the same out of all heavy barrel 457s. They're all the same in different stocks.
If this is the case, I wouldn't mind one of those barrels for my 455 Varmint. The 'match' chamber CZ claims they have might be a cheap way to squeeze a bit more accuracy out of the gun without committing to a Lilja barrel.
No Sir.. That is not correct. The MTR stands for Match Target Rifle and comes equiped with a CZ proclaimed "match" quality barrel which has a match tolerance chamber. None of the other heavy barreled 457's are advertised as such. It would be nice if you are correct, but I have seen nothing written by CZ that supports your statement.
I had a little free time today and was able to get to the range with the CZ 457 MTR. I also brought my 455 varmint 24" heavy tapered barrel. Both guns completely factory.
I don't have a scope for the 457 yet, so my plan was to shoot the 455 with a wide selection of ammo, take the scope (vortex crossfire 6-24x) off the 455, put it on the 457 and shoot the same selection of ammo.
First problem was the rear scope ring doesn't have anywhere to go without being in the way of the bolt. Because of this, I couldn't properly mount the scope. I'm going to need to get something like that CAD drawing by 419 pictured above. I know I could get different rings that probably would work better and these rings are cheap, but they have been working well for me and I just never changed them.
Once I got the scope mounted, the trigger was really throwing me off. I just wasn't used to it. It breaks very nice and clean, just too heavy for precision. The cross hairs were moving just before the trigger was breaking everytime. Not having a bipod to preload and shoot how I usually do was just making things move around too much. I could see a noticeable difference in stability through the scope between to two guns. That combined with the awkward eye relief, made the groups not so good.
After about 40 rounds I started getting the hang of things, and the group sizes started shrinking back down to the same size as the 455. Either the trigger got smoother/lighter or I was getting used to it. I was still getting flyers pretty consistently because I just couldn't be as steady. Unfortunately, time was up and the range was closing down for the day before I could really get going.
I'm hesitant to post pics of the groups because I think the gun is much more capable then what I was able to do with it today. With a properly mounted scope, adjusted trigger and a good bi-pod and I think this gun will be shooting just as good/better as my 455, which I was on fire with today. Maybe this weekend when I have some more time and I'm not getting rushed out of the range I'll shoot another round with all the same ammo.

I know the rings are garbage but you know sometimes you grab what's around and the gun shoots so they just stayed on. Here's a pic of the two best groups I had, which were the two last groups I shot. Measurements are on centers. 50 yards five shots.
So far Frankr, the MTR's, Varmints and Americans have all been reported as having pillars. Nice little surprise! I thought that only the MTR's would be pillared.
And, I couldnt agree with you more on the bolt knob. If CZ had only threaded them on, then the new VPT would have been perfect for my needs. Slap on a surgeon knob and head to the range! Oh well, Can't have everything I guess..
I'm currently looking for one of the Varmint MTR rifles. Just checked EGW's website for scope rails, and see that they've got one for 11mm grooved receivers w/20 MOA slope. It's supposed to fit 452 & 455 rifles, but wonder if it'll fit the new 457 & still clear the bolt handle? Love my V-22s, but this new little rifle is just too attractive to ignore...if I can't find a MTR, will settle for an American sporter.
Both, the 455 and 457, have an 11mm dovetail, so in that regard it should fit. A couple of things to keep in mind though.. First is that the 457 receiver is almost an inch shorter than the 455, but I'm pretty sure that any "extra" rail could just be mounted so that it overhangs the front of the receiver. Edit to add: I just found out that the dovetail on the 457 is 4.5". My EGW rail is 4.7" long along the mounting clamp/bottom of rail. The only potential issue now is if the ejection cutout matches up properly.
Second, and most worrisome is that there have been several reports that rings with thick bases/attatching clamps, have been interfering with cycling of the bolt. Unfortunately, I haven't heard any reports regarding the EGW rail to know if it would interfere. I own one and will report whether or not it interferes when my 457 gets here. I bought an American last night for a donor action for a planned PRS style rifle build. Just waiting for my rifle and this to show up. Carson at Lilja will be spinning up a bbl as well.

Look at the pictures from SouthFlShootin.
The 11 mm dovetail is a Euro standard. It's the same regardless of whose rifle it is on. However, the 457 has a bolt clearance cut on the side of the receiver to allow the bolt to move back. If anything overhangs laterally over that cut, it can bind/foul the bolt. That's what happened to SouthFlShootin with the wide UTG scope rings.
If you run into any fouling from a picatinny base, depending on where the clamp screws are you might be able to make some clearance cuts on it with a mill
Thanks for the replies guys. If worse comes to worse, I could try making my own 20 MOA sloped base on the mill. I've done it before, but they were all bases for BAT 3-lug actions on my prone rifles. Cutting the dovetail (tip-off rail) might be a PITA, but it could be done with the right dovetail cutter. Whatever - I may have a MTR coming, depending on whether there are any more in captivity. Will post when/if I get one coming.
question for any cz 457 owners that removed the action from the stock....

If you look at the picture of 455 and 457 receivers in post 54 above, you will see a rear action screw hole between the cutout for the trigger group and the recoil lug slot. Some have mistaken that hole as a mounting hole for the trigger group, but the rear of the group is pinned in place with a horizontal pin.

There's an excellent photo of the inlet area of a 457 American stock over on RimfireCentral. It shows the pillars for front & rear action screws, along with the recoil lug you spoke of. The photos were of a 457 in 22WRM, don't know whether there's any difference between the inlet for the 22 Mag version as compared to the 22LR, but I'd doubt it.
I had the chance to play around with the trigger on my MTR today and what a HUGE difference it made. The trigger now is probably right around 1 lbs. You can set your finger against the trigger but anything more and it breaks instantly, no creep. Very nice as it was a bit heavy from the factory with a small amount of creep. There are no instructions in the manual for trigger adjustment, so it just took a little trial and error.
I took some pictures of the receiver and stock. There is a notch in the back of the receiver that the metal stud in the rear of the stock fits into. Two more things that are really nice about the 457 are the steel magazines that are super sturdy/thick and the two piece trigger guard that is also steel. Don't know if anyone else has mentioned that.
I have a bipod and some scope rings coming in a few days. Can't wait to really put some rounds through this thing.

EGW is working to get a 457 action so they can write the program to make scope bases for them. Someone here or on RimfireCentral posted a link to a company's website where I found a photo of a 20 MOA scope rail for the 457, but I didn't bookmark it, nor do I recall where it was.
area 419 will have their 30moa out shortly. they posted on facebook that they have prototypes available to test. may want to check and see if they still have any available if you have a 457
That bolt handle is a huge reason for my excitement. That and the 60 degree bolt throw. Swept ball handles for everything!!!!
Hey guys.. I received my 457 American yesterday. I confirmed a suspicion that I had, and I think some of you will be excited about... Yep, that tiny little round bolt knob is threaded on!! No more trying to find someone who can machine the knob off and thread it. Just pick a knob and screw it on!!
BTW.. It took a butane torch to heat the ball, some scrap leather and pliers to break the thread lock loose.

She has a nice tan.. I'd call it an espresso finish.
I was able to get the trigger down to a very crisp and respectable 1 lb 2 oz pull
There's a picture there of the 457 with my son's 455 scout to give you an idea of just how dark the stain is on this rifle. I'd say his scout is pretty average as far as color goes on 455's. I really like how dark it is for a change.. I don't think they are all this dark. I've seen a fair number of them on rfc that are just a little darker than the past.
BTW.. I'm pretty sure that all models will be pillared. So far, all of the MTR, Lux, American and Varmints that I know of have all come with factory pillars.
