been reading for a long time but very seldom post. can't stand the pissing matches people get into.
became interested in .22 rifles for fun again but like the idea of accurate shooting. after all the reading I have purchased a cz455 20.5 varmint in the black synthetic stock. added scope rail from amazon and a cheep center-point 14 power scope (sorry, very budget minded as I am getting close to retirement).
shot ok and still seasoning the barrel ( only about 100 cheep federal bulk pack at this time).
wanted to improve the trigger and a spring seemed the best option. being a do it myself person I found a spring at "LOWES" home improvement store. it is 7/32"x 1-5/8"x .015". bar code 3890200239 with a H#543041.
I cut about 5 coils off and with small needle nose pliers I turned the cut end in and down to give a better finish.
I installed and put about one full turn in on the adjustment nut. huge improvement. spring comes in a four pack for something like $2.49.
just shot it again best 5 shot group was under .5 inch outside at about 50 yards minus a few feet (back yard) but all groups were better than the previous trigger spring gave. sorry I do not have a trigger scale.
also the ammo was some of the federal auto match in the milky white and blue bulk box. previous had been the federal bulk in the brown and black box. I do have some cci std velocity to run after I feel it settles in.
just my experience and your results could and can vary. this is not a suggestion and as always only attempt at your risk. no warranty expressed or implied. thanks for the other information I have received.
