Darts?

I love darts. Played it a lot when I was stationed in England.
Used to watch it on tv.

My feelings however, is that darts is a game, not a sport.
It's still way closer to a sport than chess or card games that ESPN broadcasts.

Now, back to beer drinking and sharp object throwing...

Yeah, I used to throw darts a lot. Made my weekly beer money on blind double tournaments. It has become a lot less since getting stationed (and then staying after getting out) in California. The liability laws for sharp pointy objects in the hands of slightly inebriated people is usually a recipe for disaster with the younger crowds.

I do miss me some 501, 801 and cricket though...loved my Hammer head darts. Still have them in a travel case somewhere in my home office (with spare flights, spinning and detachable shafts, and tip grinding stone).

@Barryd, another Marine and I used to clean house on a regular basis in our younger years...

If anyone wants to throw sometime, I use a website called pro darter.

Once you have an account you can play against the computer, or any of your friends online. It’s free.

I have been throwing in our local soft tip league for about eight years. Had a few different teams with two league championships. We went to NDA Team Dart in Vegas a couple years ago. We made the final day in team and I made the money line in single.

I throw at home on a Gran Board 3. It’s fun to play online with other players and not have to spend a small fortune on games.

Been throwing darts for 40 years. If you,re in Middle Tennessee and want to throw a few games let me know.
