Data Book app?

I've found that using google sheets and making spreadsheets is simple and effective. Being able to easily pull them up and modify them between my phone and laptop helps. I can make simple entries on my phone without much hassle and make them all pretty on my laptop.

I use an app on my phone called Gun Log SPC. I have been using it for several years to replace my paper rifle log book, round count / inventory log, maintenance log, as well as a weapon and accessory inventory. It tracks ammo usage as I fill out the log pages and deducts the rounds fired from the remaining rounds in inventory. It gives you the ability to set up multiple configurations for each weapon profile. I have four configurations set up for my AXMC.

The app tracks the total round count on the receiver, and the round count on each barrel separately, from my shooting log entries. At the end of each year I print out a report on the total activity for the year and file it. I can also save pictures of all my targets, linked to the shot data, no more cutting up paper targets and taping them in my old log book. I just mark them and label them in Ballistic-X first. The app is very stable and available on iPhone/iPad, but I’m not sure about android. There is a free version, but it has less functionality.

Gun Log SPC is currently free, as of spring 2020.

Sorry for the bump, but are you willing to share your excel template?
