I've had the same thought.
You can take one look at the kid and see that he's got some serious emotional issues going on. A LOT of pent up frustration and resentment. It's a safe bet he's not exactly a hit with the ladies either.
Nah, I think he has been told he is fantastic his whole life.
Truth is he is just an empty vessel and like an actor, empty vessels make the best raw material for messaging.
His emptiness is accepting of any idea that can be put into his head by his controllers, just as an actor assumes a role from a script.
While nature abhors a vacuum socialists love an empty head because they can turn one into the most useful of idiots.
Yes like when govt decides he should live in a glass house so that they can see his every move and search the premises at will he might want access to the second amendment to back up his resistance against that.
Actually the issue is a fundamental basic misunderstanding on his part by thinking the bill of rights can be changed or amended.
The BOR is acknowlegement that those rights are universal for mankind (peoplekind in Canada) and govt has no right to infringe.
In order to change or amend the BOR you must scrap the entire Constitution and our Republic to date.
******Note I do acknowledge the BOR are "universal" natural rights applying to every man but I do not feel that every person may exercise them in this country until they swear allegiance to the Constitution and recognize the rights of all.
The Constitution was not designed with its own eventual destruction in mind by allowing those that desire to destroy it to do so.
What he, and many others, fail to understand is the Constitution was written by a number of successful revolutionaries as a restriction on the government, not the people. The Bill of Rights, in particular, clearly illuminates what the government may not do.
His drivel and the spouting thereof clearly show a failure in our educational system to provide information on how all this is supposed to work. It really is nothing more than that. How many can quote the preamble to the constitution, it used to be a requirement when I was in middle school. I took it to heart.

agreed. This kid has obviously been coddled and brainwashed his whole life. He lived his life in a safe, comfortable environment, which is great. However, it saddens me that these people cannot think past their own lifestyle and life experiences to understand why we, the people, have the right to bear arms.
This guy totally understands the Constitution as you describe it and he hates that truth......
Failure? I’d say the system did exactly what it was designed to do.
