If this has already been shared here, just let me know and I'll delete the thread. But I thought there was some good reloading info shared by Mr. Tubb. His comments about testing rounds jammed into the lands as well as annealing were interesting. Overall, just more info to potentially help us all increase our consistency and accuracy.

There were some interesting comment on bullet jam and neck tension that I thought seemed to make sense. I am sure Mr. Tubb has forgot more than I could ever know about shooting and reloading. I really enjoyed the video!

I watched it thinking that it would go over some basics. When I got done watching it I felt like I needed to reevaluate how I load period lol.

Seems like I’m worried about the wrong stuff and just need to jam bullets to solve lots of problems.

Jamming with light tension eliminates the seating depth issue. Makes it easy but it can also leave you with a bullet stuck in the barrel that you can’t get out.

For a field rifle if you jump then you don’t have to worry about creating an unsafe condition.

You might have picked up he is using .001 neck sizing. Works great as said above to lower SDs when jammed.

In PRS/NRL where the time limits just about guaranties that you will have to extract the live route at some point, it is a bad idea to leave a bullet in the bore and gun powder in your trigger.

Use the same .001 and “jump” and your SDs will run away as the bullet moves during primer ignition. I spent a summer running all kinds of stupid ass tests, some years ago after Whidden mentiond how great soft seating was. - this stuff is very repeatable..
