Here is the first mornings hunt with the all new GAP10 in 6mm Creedmore.  We actually called up 6 but could only hammer these three.  That 105 Hornady BTHP put a nasty hole in the one.  I missed a chance on the first coyote of the day due to the fact that the rifle was not charging the rounds from the new metal mag.  I dropped hammer on empty chamber on that one.  I bent the feed lips up some and this seems to have cured it.  I will be making a post soon covering all the aspects of the new rifle, but I want to get my actual scope on it and some ammo so that I can really shoot it and gather more information.  GAP gave me 19 rounds for it when I left with the rifle.  I used 5 to establish a good zero and then I shot 3 to kill coyotes leaving me 11 total left. i will be going again this next Saturday to shoot some more with this rifle. The scope that is on it now is a loaner from GAP rifles.  It is a Bushnell HDMR with Horus 59 reticle .  They will mail me my actual scope today or tomorrow I think from the group buy.  It is also the HDMR, but the reticle is the G2. I really like that G2 reticle.  This rifle is my new long range precision competition rig and coyote thumper. I think the 6mm CM is short for CoyoteMangler.  I have went back to all gas guns after a short foray into the bolt gun world. This rifle just fits me perfect and early indications show it is going to be quite the shooter.

I want to give a big thanks to George and all the guys at GAP rifles. Everybody at that place is just awesome.

Re: Day One with the GAP10

Will be heading out again this coming Saturday to see if I can't get lucky and deliver a 105 grain Christmas present to some coyotes.
