Does anyone have a Diamondback DB10 in 6.5? How is the accuracy? I really like the idea of being able to make it lighter with a different handguard and changing the trigger. I kind of want this over the Tikka CTR if the accuracy is good.

The accuracy is sub-par on average for the DB guns I've seen. Certainly nothing close to a CTR.

Plenty of sub-$2k alternatives, but the best option is to just build (or pay to have one built).

I have a DB10 in .308 and it is NOT a sub MOA rifle. Fun to shoot with few reliability issues, but not super accurate. I'm toying with the idea of getting a 6.5 CM barrel and upgrading it just to see what happens.

They make their own barrels, maybe that is the issue. Hopefully it's fairly standard so easy to upgrade. Still toying with the idea of a AR10 platform in
6.5 CM. Meanwhile I'm waiting for my Mcrees chassis for my CTR.

I don’t have any experience with the DB10 in 6.5. But, I have a DB10ELFDE (stainless fluted barrel). I bought one after two people I knew shot sub MOA with theirs. Mine shoots sub MOA with Federal 175 Sierras and sometimes better.

Last weekend I shot a sub 1/2” 3 shot group at 100 yards (I think it was just a lucky group).

But, IMO if a rifle constantly shoots 1 MOA and occasionally shoots 1/2 MOA, IT IS A 1 MOA rifle.

I have replaced the trigger with a nice target two stage and a good bipod and monopod. Other then that it is a factory gun.

I love my gas guns, but if I could’ve gotten a Tikka CTR to match my handedness (Left) here in the US - I would have never ventured to a 6.5CM AR.

As it is, you can build up a Larue Ultimate Upper kit for ~$1500. I really like mine. Also built up an Aero receiver set with a Faxon barrel, JP SCS, SLR adj gas, Elftman trigger, Toolcraft BCG, etc. It was close to the same coin, ~$1600 I believe, and it shoots really well also.
