So I've had this full power laser for a while. This one if from 2011 when steiner was still laser devices, Inc. Why can't I find any models just like this one with the single switch?

If memory serves me right, that was around the period the A3 was being refined into its final form which included the addition of the Overide Port.

Yours appears to be a unit from that transitionary period and could have been a demo - testing unit.

What is really nice about it is that it has the setting L/H which provides a Low IR Point superimposed in the High Illuminator which is not found on the dual nob A2s or the final version of the Dbal A3. There were some A3's during that development period which did have the L/H setting feature just like yours and they are a true gem as well. You do not have to run a NDF on the IR Point to be able to get a lower powered IR Point superimposed on a High IR Illuminator beam like you do on the regular 2 switch A2's or the final version of the A3's.
