Just asking for anyone's experience, I was in a conversation yesterday at my Range about suppressors. And when I mentioned my choices of suppressors I had made he wished me luck about my Sandman S choice, he said that the companies QC has gone away since the owner is going through a divorce. I hope this is just gossip and untrue and all is well at DeadAir.

First off, he was probably thinking of Kevin Brittingham of Q who apparently had some domestic issues late last year. Second, Dead Air is a large enough company to not likely be directly effected by the marital issues of one man unless it's the dude machining your baffles. Mike Pappas and Dead Air have a pretty solid reputation. I wouldn't hesitate to buy any of their products.

Thank-you for the reassurance !

I have the Sandman S and a K on the way. The Sandman S I received had an alignment issue and since I'm in Utah, I was able to go to the Dead Air office they have here and they quickly determined the problem. Was able to meet Mike and their team...great bunch of guys and great customer service. After the fix, my Sandman S is perfect. I wouldn't hesitate at all to purchase DA products.

That kind of macho behavior is around with all sorts of things. I was looking at some UTV’s the other day and a customer on the lot went off on how many toys he has and what is bad and what is good.

Just like with all information you come across, be source critical and you will be fine.

Dead Air gtg.

Are you kidding me? All the Sandman's are excellent with the little S being awesome for its size. I had one on my Scar 17 that performed great. Having played with and sold most of the major suppressor brands I can tell you all of the ones I have dealt with have been excellent in quality both the product and the people. It's a niche business where you don't last long if you screw around with your customers. I'd hate to see this post have anyone think poorly of Dead Air because of some chump at a range who don't know sheet.

lol.. sounds like your guy at the range was confused. Hopefully he shoots better than he speaks.

Dead Air is solid. Technically they are partially owned by BPI Outdoors. They also own Bergara rifles/barrels, CVA (huge black powder rifle company), PowerBelt, and some other companies. I doubt if any one person could make/break the company.
