I see area 419 is coming out with an adapter for the dead air sandman line of cans. Has anyone had any experience with one on a precision bolt rifle? I know they are heavy AF but are they consistent?

I just installed my A419 keymo adapter today. Also picked up a Hellfire. 2 reasons I wanted to go this route. The hellfire is a great break and there are matches that I want to run the break and some I want to run the DA can. The second reason is it makes cleaning the muzzle crown much easier. A419 makes some top notch stuff. Although I can’t stop looking at the Nomad.

Let us know how much shift you get between the can and the brake

For what it's worth, I have a Sico Omega with the keymo adapter. I wanted to see how repeatable it was on my bolt gun. I started with the can on, fired a round, removed can, fired a round, put can back on etc. I fired 6 rounds and was happy with the results. It's very repeatable and predictable. Dont judge the groups too much, I was breaking shooting position between each shot.

i have to rezero this rifle due to some load changes and I will check POI shift between can and break so I can plug those numbers into the trusty kestrel. I’ll post results.
Had some time this weekend to get out to my range and re-zero.

Rifle
Action - ARC Nucleus
BBL - Proof CF 24" 6.5c
Break - A419 Hellfire
Can - DA Sandman
Z Range - 100y

I zeroed with the can, this will be my primary shooting platform, than I put the Hellfire Break on and here are the results.
This is using the A419 Sandman adaptor.

Hellfire
@100y 1.7 mrad (6.12") up / 0.2 mrad (.72") right

How does this compair with anyone elses numbers?

Barrel shift will be different almost always for everyone .. How thick a contour your running, barrel length, type of steel, environmentals, load data will all influence your poi shift.... The important question Is it repeatable?

If by repeatable you mean putting them in the same hole than yes it's repeatble. ;)
I was sending 2 rounds with the can and then 2 rounds with the break. I switched back and forth 4-5 times with very good repeatability. I'm super happy with the A419 keymo adapter.

No I mean if you shoot 5 with the can then take the can off shoot 5 then go back do the suppressed rounds keep landing in the same place with the other supressed shots
