If you're looking at off-press decapping, check out the Harvey tool...
Exactly,...I have been using my RCBS decapper then into the tumbler, and noticed right away that my very expensive dies were gunk free...but I have broken 2 pins in 2 months, so I was looking for options.if you just want to stay away from the press entirely you could go with a hand deprimer like this one, also it goes to .338
Frankford Arsonal DePrimer
I have one and it works great, the spent primer catch isn't the best but you can easily replace it with tubing down to a bucket or can.
The first batch of brass I ever decapped/resized was dirty; now I decap and clean before I resize. Its super quick to just decap and drop straight into the tumbler keeping the mess out of my office/studio/reloading room.
Nice. I didn't even know Sinclair made one. I love this site! Thanks to you and everyone else for taking the time to help.I use a Sinclair press. Cheap, works great. Had mine for forever. Never an issue.
Just saw an omission. Theirs is a 7/8-14 die, not a press.Nice. I didn't even know Sinclair made one. I love this site! Thanks to you and everyone else for taking the time to help.
I'm assuming you have one...how is the strength of the decapping pin?Might check out Mighty Armory...
Fair enough...thanksWell, haven't used it a ton yet, but I haven't broken it so far ?
It uses a solid head, vs a floating pin, so it seems like it should be pretty robust.
