I am curious what your opinions are on rings, either or 1 or 2 piece for my Howa 1500 hcr with an Athlon Midas tac would be? I am on my 2nd set of 1 piece rings and am not very satisfied. I was looking at the Vortex pro’s with the 4torx head bolts. Anyone have factual pro’s and cons of 1 piece vs. 2 ?

2 piece Vortex PMR's (made by Seekins Precision) sell on this site frequently for around $100 and are tried and true.
Thousands of people use them without issue and without lapping.
You will occasionally read about some joker citing some type of slippage, and rosins are brought into the discussion. If you torque them to the recommended values I think it is highly likely you will be happy with their performance and price point.

I have not heard much feedback on the Pro models, they may be too new to market, but are destined to be popular at that msrp.

The new vortex ring looks nice. You may also check out the XLR rings. They are made by UTG and as bad as that may sound, they are actually very nice rings.
I said that too but awhile back there was a thread where I was corrected with supporting pictures that the two were actually different. Full lug vs half the width etc. actual differences.

I like the Steiner h series and I have some of the low end night force skinny ones I want to try out soon too.

I've got a brand new in the box set of Vortex PMR 30mm in .97 height if you're interested. PM me if you like and we can talk offline. They'll be going for sale on here either way
Double check yourself against forum rules. Don't want you to get banned for trying to sell without having your 100 posts or paying the selling buy in.

Hard to beat the seekins/vortex rings. I would definitely not trust buying them on EBay though . Too any fake Chinese crap being sold on there now.

Last set that I bought was through Optics Planet, they have 20% off sales all the time, which puts them real close to the $100 mark
