Range Report Defiance Defiance running 6 Dasher Question

Hello,
Are their any issues with the Defiance Machine Deviant receiver running a 6 Dasher repeater? Issues as far as extraction and ejection? The receiver has A/W cut but will be using AICS with mag insert kit to run the 6 Dasher brass. Looking forward to hearing the information. Thanks ahead of time. Happy Thanksgiving!

PVA has a 6br/6 dasher test kit, so you can specifically test extraction in your rifle. I just ordered one as I plan to go the 6mm br route. http://patriotvalleyarms.com/6mm-br-ejection-test-kit/

I have no personal experience yet with a Defiance and 6 br/dasher, but I'm also curious to hear peoples experience. From what I have read so far, it shouldn't be an issue, besides some possible minor tweaking.

I am in the process of having a surgeon 591 barreled for 6 dasher to run with aics mags...I currently have a rem 700 barreled in 6br. With the 700, as far as extractiing went things are fine with the basic flavor 700 extractor, with ejection on a spent cartridge the ejector as was did not have enough to kick the spents out of the port. Ended up relieving material from the notch on the ejector so it sat flush with the bolt face and that did the trick. On my current build I sent some empties with the dummy round for the smith to double check ejection for me.

I know the Lone Peak guys cut off a couple coils of the plunger spring for their dashers to help with ejection.

I run a 6 dasher on a 3 lug curtis action and I can feed them just fine. Extraction actually is better then my Remington 700 action.

Update - I had a 6 Dasher spun up on a Defiance Deviant. Load and shoot, no problems with any mechanics. Feeds great out of AICS w/ Primal Rights spacer kit and also with the ARC 10rd. mag right out of the box.

I saw this late but my buddy runs the same setup and has zero issues with feeding. Glad it runs well for you too.

I've ran one for 2 years, works great. Defiance deviant 6 dasher, used aics and arc mags, both do fine. No kit needed. Had both a manners t4a and a mpa comp chassis.

Was likely ejecting too hard, hitting the port and falling back into the action.

Because its an easier faster fix thats cheaper to mend if you go to far. Cut on the cheaper part. The getting out wasnt the issue, the getting out too forcefully is.

Lots of guys will cut a couple coils off plunger spring to soften ejection so the case mouths don't get dented as much when contacting the inside of the receiver before clearing the port.

Well, it is in my case. The extractor dictates ejection angle.

Which still doesn’t make it an extraction issue. It’s an ejection issue and the easiest way is to clip a spring.
