Defiance DLC bolt lugs

Hello all, I have a question regarding my first custom action. I have a defiance elite action with DLC coating. So far the action has been cycled about 100 times and I noticed that the DLC coating is already coming off the rear of the bolt lugs. I understand that this is a high wear area, I just want to make sure this looks normal? I do use a small amount of grease on the back of the lugs. TIA

DLC flakes off. Completely normal. Also the reason I buy nitrided actions instead of DLC. Before anyone even starts I realize that Nitriding can alter the heat treatment of the metal. I buy my nitrided actions from the manufacturer. I don't have them done aftermarket.

Just because it “might” flake off does not make it “normal.” Indybio72, call Defiance up and ask them.

nitriding embeds itself into the metal, dlc is a coating that can come off with wear, I agree, call defiance and ask them.

I just checked my action which has around the same count of cycling and have no wear like that.
