If your just going to have one rifle, the fancy actions are really nice, but once you get bit by the bug, it is really hard to argue with a trued Remington and a nice top shelf barrel hanging off the front end, topped off with a nice scope. Going that route, I am now working on my 4th rifle in less than a year. Couple that with Chad's awesome group buy and I am building quite a nice quiver.
Of course I have one top shelf (Surgeon Scalpel) for bragging rights, but the rest are built on trued up Remington's that shoot just as good as the Surgeon does. Gathering parts for a 6CM right now, and that should hold me over for a while.
I will admit that the glass like smoothness of the Surgeon is a thing of beauty, and the integrated 20 MOA rail makes it awfully nice to look at.
