Defiance Machine is now producing short action repeater actions that take and function with the Accuracy Int. AW 10 rd Magazines. This Magazine is a double column mag design used on the AI AW Rifles and allows for the mag to be topped off in the rifle it also offers a shorter more compact 10 rd mag. Some of you have seen me use the design in matches in a 7000 action for the last 4 years but I never offered it as it was a very time consuming task and required major machining of the receiver. Randy at R&D Precision and Glen Harrison at Defiance Machine started development of a receiver pre cut for these mags last year and Glen now officially has started producing the action under the "Guardian" moniker. As well as Randy at R&D on his Guardian Rifle.
G.A. Precision is also currently producing the "Crusader" line of rifles with this design. And will be an option on all detachable magazine Templar action builds.
This design allows the use of both the AI AW Mags and the AICS mags interchangeably so if you already have AICS mags from another rifle you can use them as well as the AI AW Mag.
The AW magazine has a COAL max of 2.950 and will work with any 308 Win based case and similar. IE 308, 7mm-08, 260, 243, 6mmxc, 6.5 creedmoor. It will not work with WSM or 284 based cases, for those you will have to use the AICS Mags.
