Reloading Equipment Delete

I’ve shot bullets from the same lot but from different order without any problems. Like most mass produced bullets you need to check loads and true BC for each lot. I’ve seen Lot to lot differences from .0000-.0400 from hornady, Berger, Sierra and Barnes. Decided to stick with dasher so running 105’s for practice and maybe 109’s or 110’s for matches.

I haven’t heard anything about this. Where did you read that new lots had issues?

Not allowed to say, I will say they are reliable sources. Barnes is still gathering “data” and haven’t planned on saying anything yet. The shitty thing is that it’s only certain lot numbers and they aren’t releasing which ones so it’s a bit of a crap shoot. That is why I asked how long ago these were bought. From what I have heard it’s only been a problem with recent lots that have been out, but no idea which lot numbers. 31122 is one that my sources has had problems with. And when I say problems I mean that the other lots were grouping 1/4 or better and then all the sudden 2” groups same barrel same everything just different lot of bullets.

OP I’m sorry for all this..... I’m just finding out info on this day by day and people are asking for info. My intention was not to shit on your post I was really just trying to see if these were a good lot so I could go in with another guy and buy them all because they are great bullets ?

No worries. 3112 is actually the part number for the 500ct boxes and not lot number. I have all different types of good& bad stories with bullets but it’s all here say anyways. Some barrels eat anything and some are just finicky and that’s just the way it is. I’m sure if Barnes has an actual problem they will take care of it. If you want to split with a buddy that’s fine and I can ship to two different places.

308s should be the lot #. Not sure if they are from the beginning, middle or end of the lot. A friend of mine bought the last 2 boxes from same place and ran them in his BRX without a problem. I have another friend and most guys on his team run the 112’s as well. He switched to 105’s as his last two barrels would not shoot anything but 105 Hybrids. Current match barrel loves the 112’s once I got the charge and seating depth done. Not sure if you sort bullets or not but it can make a difference especially if you run close to the lands. I doubt there is a major problem with the 112’s. Here are some pics of targets from load work up and then last two groups I shot checking zero with final loads. They are not JLK’s or atips but I bet there are very few people who can shoot the difference at distance on the clock off a barricade.

What is the BTO on these 112s? Do they work best with a short free bore or a SAAMI 183?
With my hornady gauge I get the following with some random bullets I have for comparison. I’ve only ran them
with a .150 FB Dasher and worked good. A friend ran them in a .183 creed and shorter FB dasher.

112’s .6970 - .7010 (3 different lot #’s)
110 atips .6900 -.6905
105 hybrids .6510 - .6525
