DeltaPDesign / in Oregon

( Byron ) Good friendly & out to please the purchaser .
I called and had a few Questions on the BREVIS line of ( .556 ) . Especially the Sound & difference between the ( 5.5 -inch OAL ) & the ( 3.8 -inch ) Mini .
I was especially interested, as he is Local ( Oregon ) & In-State for Manufacturer . & I am going to do a dedicated .556 Can this summer .
I also have a few Suppressors & use them quit often on both .556 & .30 cal .

Byron said he was going to do some Will-Call drop-off's to a couple dealers up in Portland area & said he would give me a call and meet for a Demo of each .
So I did get to really shoot & Hear a sideXside of each . Out my AR . Also while standing in-front & off the side & ahead of the Muzzle for the BEST real world hearing test between the Two .

1st thing I got to say is . Both Cans LOOK Short in length . & the BREVIS Line is a ' little ' bigger on the standard industry Diam. of Tube size that you normally run . & looking @ the Pics. on the Web-site . (imho) They have that fat/big-look to them .
It is basically a visual distortion when looking @ the Web. Pictures . With them being so Short on the Total Overall Length/OAL . In combination with the little larger Diameter of Tube .
In real life,They Are NOT as Fat on the Diameter as they 'visually appear' for Web. Pic. representation .
& also for Cosmetic/Aesthetics & Visual appearance when mounted on the AR muzzle . imho, It looks Normal & Great . & Especially that little Mini BREVIS on the end of my Muzzle .

Between the 2 Cans . The (5.5" length) was really great sounding & the BREVIS .556 ( Mini 3.8 -inch ) KicksAss for the 'Ultra' Short OAL Suppressor length .
Finish & Welds look top-notch . While the Cans Weights were VERY Nice & 'especially' the .556 Mini BREVIS . that Mini is small & weight efficient .

Was spitting some hand-loads of, 50 Vmax & 52 grn. Sierras, @ the 2900 Vel. area & out a 16" - barrel length . out my daytime AR Coyote shooter for a Host .
The sound difference is There for sure . 5.5 -inch is quieter between the Two . But standing in-front of the muzzle & hearing each . I got to say "DAMN" .
For the tiny length/OAL of it . It was far more affective & efficient than I was expecting it to be . Minimal added Length to barrel while . ' Almost ' did not feel it cantilevered out there on the Muzzle .

For purchase I am going with the 5.5" length BREVIS .556, but only reason is that it is going to go on another dedicated Night-time Varmint AR . & the bit-more added/extra sound suppression with it's volume will be what I want when it real quiet out late night in the fields .
The Mini 3.8" BREVIS would still do the trick for Flash & Noise with It's minimal added barrel length & weight being a big plus . I still would Not Hesitate taking it out shooting with NV & being in a more personal stealth mode hunting with the AR .

also :
The ( 5.5 -inch length BREVIS ) coming in .556 Cal. , Also comes in ( 6.5 -&- 7.62 Cal.) .

Good meeting local people
& thanks for DeltaPDesign being very Generous on there time .

Wait a minute....you're the guy that he was up in Portland meeting with! Too funny, he told me he was coming up here, I was going to attend the demo but had no extra time today to run out your way.

Re: DeltaPDesign suppressors / in Oregon

shit Man. It ended-up that the meeting spot for shooting was only like 6-8 miles from my house . Was a quick Demo for me .
.

(imho) That, 3.8-inch Mini is a sweet little containment muffler for expanding Muzzle gasses .

Work is always getting in the way of things.

It even stopped raining hard long enough to shoot too!

Great to put a name with a face today, and always fun to shoot. Too bad we didn't see the coyotes before they saw us!

A big thing is getting a size reference for the BREVIS line. I put up a couple of pics with reference in them, but even then it is difficult. I have started telling people the larger can is the dia and length of the small 8.2 oz Red Bull cans, and the 5.56 compact is the diameter and length of the small 6.5 oz Starbucks espresso shot drink cans. Hold one up to the end of the rifle and it is a pretty good representation. It is also the length of a 10rnd stripper clip of 5.56 ammunition.

There is also a pic of the 5.56 compact can next to a small coke bottle here:

see pics

Always fun to shoot and meet people from the board.

What do you mean "boost"? Do you mean more FPS? I use a can because it reduces sound by a great deal (I have wearing ear pro) and my rifle barely moves when I fire a round so it's much easier to spot and make corrections.
