Gunsmithing Denver/Front Range Gunsmith?

Re: Denver/Front Range Gunsmith?

I couldn't find one myself, so I sent my rifle to Charley Robertson at Score High Gunsmithing in Albuquerque, NM. He goes by the screen name of ScoreHigh here on the Hide. Shipping costs to NM are not that bad from CO. I had him pillar bed it and cut/recrown the barrel. I just got it back and it's a top-quality job! Thanks Charley! Turn around time to include shipping was 3 weeks.

Thanks COfox, just got off the phone with him. Seems like a great guy. I'll be sending him my stuff in a couple weeks.

Was also searching around for gunsmiths and heard of westwind rifles from Erie. A yahoo search is enough to come up with his basic information.

Re: Denver/Front Range Gunsmith?

Buckey and PMP,

thanks for suggesting Rich @ HTCustoms. I stopped by his shop a couple weeks ago while I was in Colorado Springs for work. He stated his lead time, long like others. He then offered, if I would meet him early on a Sunday, he would true the action and chamber the barrel while I wait, Hell ya I'll do that!

Met him at his shop early this AM, I'm a couple hrs away. It was a treat to watch him work. He patiently answered my questions as he worked.

Look forward to shooting the rifle, no doubt it'll shoot great.

Thanks again guys for suggesting Rich. Class act for sure!
