Unfortunately the asshole will become very frustrated and lash out because of his loss of respect from the troops.

Generally, during field circumstances it becomes a moral buster.
There needs to be a certain levity between officers and non-comms as it is conducive for trust.

A good non-comm will always cover for a officer when he fucks up especially butter bars because he trust the "O" to have his back.
If he doesn't and throws the non-comm under the bus,see paragraph #1
