I just got done watching 'Despicable Me 2'. If you saw the first one and liked it, then part 2 is more of the same, a great movie to relax and watch & forget about life.
The 3D version was done very well & I would recommend seeing it in 3D if you can as it seems that it was well planned to take advantage of the 3D format.
The rip they do on Boys 2 Men is almost worth going to see by itself.
Great fun for the kids, even more fun for the parents.

My Wife Daughter and 2 year old Granddaughter saw it the other day. Wife said it was pretty good. I asked how the 2 year old did and she said she got bored a couple of times but for the most part watched the whole thing.

Making a 3D animated film for 3D projection is pretty trivial compared to shooting a 2D film and making it work in 3D. You get a lot of stuff "for free" because the scene geometry is all there in three dimensions with proper z-depth from the camera. But shooting a normal film in 2D and converting it to 3D projection requires them to create camera depth when there is none to begin with. This is done with lots of tricks and techniques, but if it's not done well, it can be a real eye sore. That's why it's always a safe bet to see an animated film in 3D, unlike the other films out there.

The first one was awesome, glad to hear part two was good too. I guess I'll be making plans to take my girls to the theater this week, looking forward to it.

I saw it and liked it, but for the first time in my life I actually felt old. Because there were a few scenes where I was thinking... "This is supposed to be a kids movie! That is totally inappropriate!" But I still liked the movie. =)
