just went to bass pro today, i had a remmy 700 lv sf in 223 follow me home. out the door $599. this all started when i bought a box of 75 gr amax's just trying to find some heavies for my ar. well they wouldnt load short enough and i had to find something to shoot em out of

Not too sure on that model but one thing I can tell you is your not going to get very good results with a 75 grain bullet. I'm pretty sure that barrel has a 1 in 12" twist rate so your best bet will be shooting 55-60 grain bullets. Your other option is get a barrel change and try a 1 in 8" or 9" twist rate.

Believe those a 1:12" twist. May have problem stabiizing the 75 grains bullets.

Travis, that's a good price on the rifle. And, you could always sell the take-off barrel and get another barrel installed if you really want to shoot the heavier bullets. For now, stick with 40-55 grain stuff, and enjoy it.

well i got a chance to get out and shoot her today. she shot about 1 moa. i was shooting some wwb 45gr varmint hp's. i guess we will have to see what she will do with some handloads.
