Well I would agree with one point.

On one hand I agree with you that many from my generation (at 26 I think I’m the tail end of the millennials) are becoming too adverse to taking any kind of risk but on the other hand I look at the reward and in many cases the risk isn’t worth it.

I personally know of three different women who got themselves knocked up with the intention of improving their lives on the backs of the guys they used. One got divorced, one is a single mother and the last one worked out because the guy wasn’t going to abandon his kid and she knew it. Add to that numerous people who have been sent through the ringer mentally and financially by their significant others in divorces because they suddenly decided they didn’t feel like being married anymore and wanted a payday.

Additionally I look at a number of friends and family that were practically neutered when they got a wife/girlfriend. The women set all of the rules and they simply followed them without complaint because the women pitched a fit whenever they didn’t get their way. Hell my last relationship ended because my girlfriend demanded I skip a 4 day family trip I waited all year for because she might be free for a couple hours that Saturday afternoon. When I refused to stay home she stopped talking to me for a month and was surprised I broke up with her the next time we met.

When I was in college there was a football player who was accused of raping a girl in one of the dorms. I know I personally said said some pretty dark things about what they should do to him for what he did only to eat my words a couple months later when it turns out she lied and slept with him to set him up because he wouldn’t date her. The guy was removed from the team, lost his scholarship, was kicked out of school and was looking at jail time before they figured out she was lying.

That was probably 6 years ago so I’m sure with the #MeToo plus all the red flag bullshit today there is the very real possibility that meeting the wrong tipsy girl in a bar could result in the cops kicking in your door at 3 am with an arrest warrant for rape and a search warrant for your guns.
