I got a new AW308 around Christmas time have been load developing every weekend since. I have finally narrowed my load down to one. It is 47 grains of varget behind a 155 grain lapua scenar. 47 grains is the max load in the loading data and the highest I have tested. I am already compressing the hell out of the powder so I am weary of going any higher. Anyway, now that I have found a load that shoots really well I want to load up all my 500+ pieces of brass. I developed this load in cold temperatures and am concerned that when the weather gets warmer this load will no longer be optimized.
What do you guys think?

Wouldn't worry about it with Varget. My 178 AMAX load is about .2grns over listed max and I have shot it from the teens to over 100 degrees. Varget is very temp insensitive. Keep an eye on it as it gets warmer but I would bet you will be fine.

Varget is known to be very stable, but unless you are willing to get more components or pull apart loaded ammo, load enough to shoot until hot weather testing can be done.

You may want to use a drop-tube to minimized crushed/broken granuals, as the size of the individual particles is only one of the variables that affects burn rate.

I had a load developed in cold weather that in summer was just too much, but I had plenty of components for the next node down, and finished off the hot loads the next winter.
