Just picked up a 600 Super. Should the case support base be spring loaded?
I have backed off the set screw on the right and the base plate doesn't move much. If I adjust the screw in the plate moves up, but only because you shoving one side over.
Help would be welcomed.
Thanks!

I figured it had to work like that. He has it bolted to a 2x6. If I free the tool from the board, and can access the bottom of the tool can I remove/clean the plate and spring?

Plate on the bottom has 2 screw that take 3/32 hex. That plate should be covering a spring that is .200 dia and .75 uncompressed and approx .30 when compressed. Hole on the side of the swagger that takes a 1/8 hex will lock the height to where you want it for the case size that you are processing.

OK
So.. it sounds like I remove the tool from the board.
Loosen the set screw.
Remove 2 screws under the tool to remove plate. Inspect spring and clean / lube all.

Thanks!
