Well I have had one and decided to process some 308 brass today. Well first I have to say like any Dillon product it is stoutly made! Second it was easy to set up to run the brass. Lastly after it was set up to run the brass to proper length, it took me 15 to 20 minutes to trim about 430 cases. I think I am in LOVE!! Can't wait to do the LC brass for the wife's Mini SASS.

Sounds like you are happy with it! Few questions for you as I just trimmed a few hundred with the Possum Hollow set up. It works but I sure would like something better...just not as extreme as the Giraud!!

-Did you have much length variation once it was set up?

-Did you chamfer/deburr afterwords?

-I know this is supposed to size but do you still use a separate size die in a different stage as well?

Thanks in advance! I have always thought about buying one but haven't processed brass for awhile. After using my cheap setup today I am really thinking it is time to invest in something better!

Re: Dillon Case Trimmer

The case variance that I found on some of the ones I was checking from time to time, after the first 15 to make sure it was running right, was about .002. Which to me is acceptable.

Yes I just touched the brass on the chamfer / debur set upon the RCBS case prep center. When I say just touched, I mean it. Was a nice cut edge and made the process real easy.

Yes I full length size everything in the actual sizer die before, mainly because I have it set up exactly where I want it.

I have about 1200 LC 223 to do for the wife's Mini SASS, and 2500+ to do for plinking, and would hate to do them by hand.
