Directv vs YoutubeTV

My Dad got rid of cable at $150/mo for the $55/mo youtube tv and a fire stick to run on his old non-smart tv.

He only has it because he has to watch his races. He's happy with it. Cheaper and works easy enough with the fire stick.

I have a cheap smart TV, and I have no tv what so ever. I have some YouTube channels I watch, but I quit watching sports years ago. I spend my time dicking around in my shop or out shooting, riding, etc.

I checked out EliteTV but they dont list their channels and tech support says they dont publish a list. That's bullshit. What channels are there?

So they want you to buy a subscription, but won't tell you what you are going to be subscribing too?

Sounds like a fucking scam to me

I have Youtube TV. I got it for college football and the Smithsonian channel. It's got good and bad. The bad is anything live has too many commercials. The good is unlimited DVR, they have that down.

Pro tip: They allow three independent streams from three separate IP's, so i split the ~$70 bill with two of my moved-out kids, 1/3rd each. To me, it's worth $25/month. At $70, I'd cut it loose.

Most all of them. All the movie channels, sports channels, and news channels. Local channels for the entire US.

I've been told that all the sports games are on there too, but have yet to verify if this is true. I know there is a lot of hockey games.

All the movie channels,?? HBO Showtime included?

Seems pretty interesting. Too bad there is not way to record or keep for later
