I have been using Strelok Pro and Strelok for quite awhile. I have become incredibly confident in them and how I have them set up. I have shot in multiple different crosswinds out to 1,300 yards and I have not been off on elevation by more than .1 mils even though I always have vertical crosswind deflection turned off.
I recently got a Kestrel 5700 and I decided that I would trust it if I could get it to line up with my Strelok data at every distance. I have it lining up with my Strelok Pro data perfectly all the way to my max expected shooting distance of about 1,300 yards. The exception is when I input a crosswind. If I input a 10 MPH wind from 3 O'Clock the Kestrel shows .2 mils less elevation required than with no wind. This is wrong compared to data I have gathered in the field. I have fired at the same targets from the same position with winds from right or left of more than 10 MPH and both times my elevation was the same for center hits.
How can I disable the vertical changes from crosswind in the Kestrel?
