Here's my newly purchased AR308. I'm getting a Leupold 3.5-10 for it this weekend.....The only thing I've thought about doing is getting a MagPul PRS for it.

Springfield m1A in a sage EBR chassis, leupold 3-9x40mm mark AR mil dot. its different than what most ppl have so i had to have one. i think the army uses them for the squad DMR rifle so its good enough for me.

Re: DMR Pics

What does this weigh? How rigid is the carbon? How strong? Any down sides to carbon over Al?

Re: DMR Pics

Here is my little 6.8 sexiness. This is as she sits today. Before I added the PRI tube I was able to put 18 rounds into less then 1.25 inch at 100 yards (there were two called fliers). I think I'll keep her as my truck gun for coyotes.

I'm with him. I got this barrel used and I honestly didn't expect anything close to what I got. I was hoping "Maybe if it's around an inch and a quarter I'll be happy...". I was out of words when I got done.

Mine as it sits now:

Best 2 groups thusfar (shooting Southwest Ammo RnG 69gr SMK @100yards):

Got an Atlas BT10 on tap and hopefully a Geiselle SSA not too far behind. And some more 69gr and 77gr SMK loads and HOPEFULLY trigger time to compliment it when everything gets here.

Also thinking about the new SWFA SS 1-6 later on. I wanted to do something along that magnification range for this rifle, and it looks like for my budget and what I use the rifle for it will be my best bet. </div></div>

Shooterman, That is a fine paint job, how, or where, did you do it?

Liberally mixed 1 part old cast net (with a wider 'weave' than the walmart laundry bags as others use on here), 4 parts Krylon/other spray paints, and 1 part sponge.

I wanted alternating light and dark 'hatching', so alternated spraying Krylon Tan and Black, and a little bit of offbrand matte camo grey. On top of that, with the cast net on the weapon, I sprayed green. I repositioned the net here and there, and wherever it shows a transition in placement, I took a piece of sponge and applied black and grey, then lightly sprayed (or sponged) green on top so the black isnt as, well, black. Depending on how light hits it, it can show up a darker green where the black is, or lighter green where it was sprayed over the tan. I'll probably find a laundry bag with a tighter weave and end up using both the small and large pattern when I get bored with it and do it all over again.

Depending on how you spray and how much you sponge, I find it can have an ATACS-y look.
