Folks I am thinking about ordering a 1.8-10x USO for a .308. I am wondering if I just got the fixed Parallex would that be fine on a .308 for pigs and vermin given the other option I am also considering a nxs 2.5-10x32 does not have it.

Reason I ask is most people just order this scope with either T-Pal or ERGO

pc3,

Parallax adjustment is very important when trying to hit very small targets @close range (under 50 yds), and very small targets at long range (over 700 yds).

If your target is large enough, either near or far, it does not matter a whole hell of a lot. The parallax error is lost on the target.

USO will set a fixed parallax scope at any range you wish. 50 yds for close shots that need to be error free. Or set @ 300 yds, for parallax free shooting at longer ranges, or anywhere in between.

With a max of 10 power it's no big deal to shoot a fixed parallax scope. It gets worse the higher power you go....

ERGO would be my first preference. Not ahuge deal on a 10X or less, but parallax is worse inside the range it is set for than beyond it, so it would depend on your intended use.

SB basically for hunting feral pigs and other Vermin. I am also considering the Group buy on the 1-6 USO in the group buy section but I think I would prefer something that goes to 10x for longer shots. So if you went Fixed parallex for pig hunting etc. would you set at 100, 200 or 300 yards ? Smallest thing shot may be some foxes etc.

Will bea pretty basic USO build I think I will just go for standard Mil Dot so that I have a Refernce point if I need one.

was thinking

1.8-10x37 or 44 not sure on this
Fixed parallex
Erek 1/10 Mil (could save $ with #3 ele knob)
standard #1 Windage
Illuminated.

Sunshade and flip ups.

Dont even see the T-Pal 1-10 on there website ??

typical hunting ranges? for under 350yds or so, i'd just go with the with small/low profile USO "zeroing knobs", and pick a reticle you prefer (to match you tactical fifle, in MOA or Mil) and hold over as necessary...... at those ranges it's a waste of time to fiddle with the knobs. re the objective, for 10x the 37mm would be fine in my opinion, fixed, at 200 or so, again, depends on the ranges you will limit yourself to...
