Gunsmithing Does anyone know Harolds gunsmithing?

I have talked to him on the phone and am planning on having him build two rifles on for me and a buddys. He says he works with Rock barrels and does work for them? Has anyone had work done by him? His web site harolds gunsmithing is about as plan as it gets and no rifle pics? Just trying to do some leg work first.

Assuming you are referring to Harold Fred, I bought a barreled action that he put the barrel on and it shoots great.

Im also going to call rock barrels and just ask them? If he does work for them on actions I should get a straight anwser form them? We are planning on using their barrels.

I remember that Rock Creek used to have a Harold listed on their website as a recommended smith. I don't see it at the moment, so a call to Mike would be the easy way to check. I see that Harold's website has him in southern WI, so he probably is the same guy that did work with Rock Creek.

Harold chambered a .308 for me and did nice work.

Harold's guns shoot, don't even worry about that. Regardless of what's on his site or Rocks site his work is good.

Have two of his builds and the workmanship is great as was the customer service. They shoot!!!

I have nothing but good things to say about Harold. He built my rifle about 4-5 years ago and it was an absolute hammer. It held .25-.5 moa pretty constistently. He ran over the estimated build time by about a month, but called to let me know well in advance, so, wasn't a problem from point of view.
