Does anyone know what kind or type of paint Manners uses on their stocks?

I just received my stock over the weekend and felt like they skimped on the paint, there's a lot black showing between the other colors, and it don't really don't look like the pictures of other ones I've seen. So do I call them or add a little paint. I ordered a swamp camo, and wouldn't mind a little green or other color to add to it. What would work, that would last, and not wear off with normal handling?

This is what I was told when I asked Manner's about the paint:

"We use Polane Epoxy enamels and we use a sponge to apply them. We cut small portions of sponges off and practice on paper/cardboard to get it right then just apply it. We shoot with a clear coat called armor grip when done."

Pretty sure you can send it back to them as well and they'd add paint if you really wanted.

As an fyi though, if it is an elite camo (with the black carbon fiber showing through), what you see is not paint but molded into the gelcoat.
I think they sometimes put some additional paint on them after they come out of the mold.

On one of mine, when I bedded the action, I got generous with the masking tape and taped the whole stock. It seems like regardless of how careful I am I always manage to slop some epoxy somewhere it shouldn't be. When I removed the tape, a LOT of the color came off with the tape.

Epoxy is like dogshit....one little smear and it’ll go everywhere you don’t want it.

My molded in Camo Manners and Elites have never lost a bit of color.

I just got a black painted PRS off their specials page and it has chipped like a mofo around any sharp edges.

I like the extra carbon showing as well but on this PRS there’s a light tan under the black I don’t like. Idk if it was originally tan or what. I’ll just let it continue to chip and hopefully end up with an all carbon stock someday.
