Does the BC method of wind hold estimation work for 22LR?

If i remember correctly, Frank's last example in the podcast said this: A "0.4something" G1 BC means a 4 mph gun, testing in 8mph wind full value at 600 yards = .1 mil per 100 yards for each "whatever mph your gun is" in the wind (4 goes into 8 twice), so 2 x .1 mils x 6 (hundred yards) = 1.2 mils. And he confirmed that estimate with a center hit on target.

Is there any way to correlate that to 22LR? Ballistics are so poor, but good wind estimation is so critical in big matches that I'd like to figure this out.

Most 22LR match ammo G1 BC will be "0.1something", so pretty much they're all a 1 mph gun. It's like 0.13x - 0.18x range, not sure if only one decimal place is really enough.

So, 8 mph full value wind at 200 yards should be 1.6 mils? My Strelok app gives me 1.2 mils, so is this BC estimate method giving me 25% too much wind hold? Do the extra decimal places in the BC matter more for this little subsonic flying brick?

the BC thing is just a guideline. for example the 88 ELDM. .545 G1 so let's call it a 5mph bullet. well at 3200 fps it's a 7mph bullet.

you're gonna have to mess with ballistics but also find your real world data, which isnt exactly easy to get a perfect, 3, 4, 5, 6 etc mph wind

next time you shoot and have decent steady winds stretch it out a bit and see how the data lines up with the actual
