Donor rifle opinions

I bought this as a 6 digit M40 donor. My plan is to use the receiver and bolt and sell off the rest to recoup some funds. To me, it’s just someone’s old custom varmint or BR rifle. Any reason not to dismantle it? In other words, is it from a prestigious builder or does it have any value beyond the sum of its parts. It came from one of the big flat states in the middle if that gives any context. Very odd and specific build for sure. But beautiful wood.

Left hand thumb hole, right hand action, bedded as a single shot. Octagon barrel with round receiver end. Is that a 40X trigger? The only identifying marks are “ 9 9 70 ES” under the barrel. That stamp left a nearly perfect impression in the bedding material.

I’m not soliciting offers, just some insights, thanks,

Man, if it shoots well I would leave it alone and get another donor. But then it was probably hard to find a serial number that is similar to the M40 you're trying to replicate.
