All the ballistic programs I have run the numbers on and all of them are different. The gun is a rem 700 SPS .308, 26" barrel. Hornady TAP 168gr ammo going 2700fps. The scope adj are 1/8" at 100.

My dope is:

100yd 0 IPHY
200yd 1 IPHY
300yd 3 IPHY
400yd 6 IPHY
500yd 9 IPHY

I need help understanding how the IPHY translates to MOA.

Re: Dope HELP!!!!!!!!!

For "rough" purposes, only 1 moa = 1 iphy. In reality, an MOA is 1.047" at 100 yards.

Might I suggest you do a little research on you own next time. This information is not hard to find.

Re: Dope HELP!!!!!!!!!

Are you using G7 BC or G1 BC I have found JBM with G7 (litz) BC to be within a .1 Mil at a 1000 with many loads.

Are the 0,1,3... you posted inches?
Are you sure your going 2700 (check with crono)?
What is the DA you are using?
Sight Hight you inputed vs actual sight hight?

Simple conversion factor is how it translates:

1moa=1.047" at 100yds, so you can take moa interpolated data (it ain't DOPE unless you've shot it and recorded it technically anyway) and step it up 5% to get what you dial on an IPHY scope.

If you have IPHY info divide it by 1.074 to get moa info.

You say "my dope is"-does that mean you've shot that and recorded it in IPHY?

Re: Dope HELP!!!!!!!!!

IPHY is also referred to as Shooters MOA
where 1.047" referred to as True MOA.

Dont want to confuse but some balistics programs let you chose which you use, also you need to know what your scope is calibrated to.

Yes 1 IPHY to hold dead on at 200, 3 IPHY to hold dead on at 300 .....
