It appears to be the barrel they use on the MK 12, 18". I wonder if it uses the expensive SASS gas block or something cheaper, their site doesn't say.

Got one! This will replace the 18" bull barrel on my LR308B, which weighs about as much as a 4X4 truck axle.
The barrel doesn't come with a gas block and might not even be drilled for one. That said, I'll be having a JP adjustable gas block installed. Even without a can, I've found that slight adjustments can bring groups down to size.

The DPMS SASS barrel is just as heavy as that 18" bull, in fact it mics at .936? at the gas block and looks to be more than an inch under the handguards. Mine is mid length gas. You will need a special gas block for it if you want it to be under free float handguards, it is a DPMS specially made one.
edit: NVM that's not the sass barrel, that's their MK12 one. That looks really nice for 160$ and the rifle length means you shouldn't have the same problems with the gas block.

god damn that's a heavy barrel. That's one big reason why I sold my LR-308C and bought an M1A.
