DPMS REPR?

Does anyone have one of these? I know for not much more you can get a GAP AR-10 but I really don't want to wait a year or so to get one of them. But I'm also wary about spending that much for a DPMS

I don't have specific experience with that rifle but I am very comfortable advising you not to do it. A DPMS brand rifle will never compare to a GAP. You might want to look at one of the other 308 semi-auto rifles that have a good reputation (LaRue, LMT, POF, and several others) if you don't want to wait for the GAP. The GAP would be suited to your specific purpose and one of the others may work but you will never go wrong with a GAP.

I have a DPMS SASS an LMT MSW and an Armalite AR10A4 and the DPMS is my favorite of the 3. It is the most accurate although the other 2 are close. I have never had a single problem with the SASS.

Exactly. How the hell does DPMS get to steal the name of a real precision .308? I have a real (LWRCi) REPR and love it.

That said, anyone interested in a REPR should check out F&D Defense. This is a new company in New Braunfels Texas that was created by one of the lead engineers at LWRCi. They are putting out a very nice looking piston .308 at about 3/4 the price of a REPR.

They are also going to be building a gas piston .338 Lapua Mag AR at some point it seems.

REPR i think is the term used by military contract looking for a rifle.... not a brand name term

To be fair, the LWRC REPR did start out as SABR (Sniper/Assaulter Battle Rifle.) Now their rifle just... owns it.
