See what happens when you aren't in the "Fleet" -- you think we care about stuff like this -- as if. Go tell it to the Navy, you might actually get some play with this line.
Another question, if the Elcan already has back up iron sights on top, why have back up iron sights below ? Seems rather redundant even for you. </div></div>
arent "marines" just naval infantry?..........

The Marines are a department of the Navy....the MENS department
Terry, It is good to be missed, even if it was in a creepy homo-erotic way....
Thanks for the NF offer, I appreciate it. I am anticipating teaching more carbine classes where the students are using the ELCAN. That is my primary reason for owning the ELCAN at this point.
The family is good... My wife just finished up a 10 week staff and command school and my son is growing like a weed. Hopefully I will make it to the Bash this fall but it I don't I will be sure to send you more pics of my girlfriend to tide you over. Stay safe brother!
Great thread. Love the SCAR. Dint care fir the Elcan before and afte reading this thread, I hate it even more. Glad I went with the TA33 instead. That shift is unaccepatable FOR ME. My Swarovski 1x6 and other 1x4 scopes didn't have any noticeable shit at 50 yards and they were all SFP.
The ACOG has two issues; one, it is absolutely a nightmare for CQB and two, the reticles are notorious for being canted. The cant is usually subtle but beyond 200 yards it becomes a problem.
The Chevron Reticles are also busy and newer shooters tend to use the entire chevron as a "dot" type site resulting in piss poor accuracy.
I didn't like the TA31DOC that I had, but the TA33 with the green horseshoe reticle is great, even for close range shooting. The only negative is when you are in a dark room, which it is hard to pick up the reticle, which is a know ACOG flaw.
