I recently bent the drop tube on the Forster Co-Ax. Forster quoted me a price of $14 + shipping, but feel like I’m getting hosed. So up until recently I was not using the drop tube and just catching the primers in a small container. Now the primers are getting stuck in the machine and I’m using a vacuum to suck out the spent primers. Decap 8 then suck, then decap 8 more.
Has anyone just drilled the drop tube hole bigger and then just catch the spent primers?

I don't use the bottle...just drop in a waste basket. You do have to keep the tube clean. A .22 bore brush and some cleaner once in a while will keep it open. If it is bent below the plate, cut it off an let the used primers spill into a waste basket. Won't hurt anything, unless a NOT spent primer ignites something in the basket. JMHO

Just get the tube it works and they have them in stock dont be a tight ass get it fixed properly and dont attack it with a drill it is a piece of precision equiptment and deserves to be maintained. also if you have the primers floating around in it you will get the rams coated in priming compound that has burnt into a very abrasive grit and the press will be ruined. This is a big part of their desighn just fix it.
